This meetup is for people in their 20s and 30s, in the Birmingham area, who enjoy dancing, dining, pubs, clubs, outdoor activities, road trips, dinner parties, and other local activities. This group is for married people, single people, new-in-towners, and people who have been in the Birmingham area for a while and are simply looking for a new group to go out with. Join the fun!
… We have several opportunities throughout the year for both indoor and outdoor climbing. Beginners are very welcome on most events. Most outdoor trips are lead by AMGA (http://www.amga.com) certified instructors. These trips usually require an investment of under $80 and include all the equipment you will need for rock climbing. How it works: One or two members of the “kennel” lay a trail with flour, chalk and/or toilet paper across every imaginable terrain in the area – we call them the “Hares”. The pack of runners & walkers or “harriers & harriettes” chase the hares by following the "trail marks" until they reach the end of trail or the “On In". Along the way, the “Hares” will make diversions and stops (checks) of various types (including beer checks) to slow the pack down and keep the runners & walkers together. …
